Ravo Terms of Use

Approved by the product owner on 3 November 2026.

Version: 2026-11-03-v1 Effective date: 3 November 2026 Operator: Asare Labs Pty Ltd (ACN 703 317 739, ABN 46 703 317 739), Queensland, Australia

The short version

We know almost nobody reads terms of use from top to bottom. Please read this summary at the very least. It does not replace the full terms below, but it tells you honestly what you are agreeing to.

1. Welcome and who we are

1.1 These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ravo, including the Ravo mobile apps for iOS and Android, any Ravo web app, our websites, and the related software, content, coaching features and services (together, the "Services").

1.2 Ravo is provided by Asare Labs Pty Ltd (ACN 703 317 739), a company registered in Australia ("Ravo", "we", "us" and "our"). In these Terms, "you" means the individual using the Services.

1.3 These Terms include and should be read with:

2. Agreeing to these Terms

2.1 You accept these Terms when you create a Ravo account and actively confirm that you agree. We record the version you accepted and when you accepted it. Simply opening the app or browsing our website does not create an account agreement.

2.2 A Ravo account is required to use the app. You can read these Terms and the Privacy Policy before creating an account.

2.3 Changes to these Terms. Ravo is a growing product, and these Terms will change as it grows. When we make a change:

2.4 If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using Ravo and delete your account before the change takes effect.

3. Who can use Ravo

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create a Ravo account. Ravo's coaching features are designed and tested for adults, and children's training and privacy need protections we do not yet provide.

3.2 By creating an account you confirm that:

3.3 If we reasonably believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend it and ask for confirmation of age, or close it and delete the associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3.4 Ravo may initially be available only in some countries. Where a feature, payment option or integration is not available in your country, we will say so in the app.

4. Your account

4.1 Signing in. You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with a supported provider (currently planned: Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook and X). When you sign in with a provider, that provider's terms and privacy policy also apply to the sign-in step. We never receive your password for those providers.

4.2 One person, one account. Accounts are personal. Do not share your account, sell it or let someone else train under it. Your plan, pace learning and history only make sense if the data comes from one body: yours.

4.3 Keeping it secure. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details and devices secure. Tell us promptly at support@asarelabs.com.au if you think someone has accessed your account without permission. We will never ask for your password by email, message or phone.

4.4 Linking sign-in methods. We will only link two sign-in methods to the same account after verifying that both belong to you. We will not merge two people's accounts.

4.5 Leaving. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (You → Privacy & data → Delete account) or by contacting us. Section 18 and our Privacy Policy explain what happens next.

5. Health and safety comes first

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

5.1 Not medical advice. Ravo provides general fitness and training information. Ravo is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent any disease or condition, and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified health professional.

5.2 Check before you start. Running and exercise carry real risks, including injury, illness, heart events and, rarely, death. Talk to a doctor before starting or significantly increasing training, particularly if you:

5.3 Stop signs. Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you experience chest pain or pressure, severe breathlessness, fainting or near fainting, an irregular or racing heartbeat, confusion, or pain that is sharp, worsening or unusual for you. In an emergency in Australia, call 000. Ravo cannot call for help, does not monitor you in real time and is not an emergency service.

5.4 Information you give us matters. Ravo adjusts training using what you tell it, including injuries, pain, restrictions and how sessions felt. If that information is incomplete or out of date, recommendations may not suit you. Updating it is one of the most important things you can do to train safely with Ravo.

5.5 Ravo will sometimes say no. For your safety, Ravo may decline to build a plan, shorten a plan, reduce intensity or recommend rest. For example, it may do this when a goal race is too close for safe preparation, when a distance is beyond what Ravo supports, or when you report pain. This is a deliberate feature, not a fault.

5.6 Your choice to train. You choose whether, when, where and how hard to exercise. You accept the inherent risks of physical activity to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits your rights under section 19 (Australian Consumer Law) or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. How Ravo coaching works

We want you to understand what is behind your plan, so you can decide how much to rely on it.

6.1 Rules first. Ravo's training plans are built by a versioned training rules engine that sets limits on load, progression, recovery spacing and intensity. These rules are designed to keep progression conservative and they apply even when other features suggest something else.

6.2 Learning your pace. Ravo learns your individual pace ranges from your permitted training history and completed runs. For easy running, Ravo starts calibrating after about seven qualifying easy runs. This is a product milestone, not a scientific guarantee: if your data is noisy, incomplete or unusual, Ravo will tell you that confidence is low rather than pretend to be precise. Until your paces are learned, Ravo guides by effort and feel.

6.3 Estimates are estimates. Paces, training zones, load scores, readiness, race predictions and similar figures are estimates based on the data available. They can be affected by GPS signal, sensor fit, hills, heat, altitude, fatigue, illness and many other factors. They are not measurements of your physiology, and a pace range is not a measured VO2max or lactate threshold.

6.4 AI drafting (optional, off by default). Ravo can use artificial intelligence (AI) models from an external provider to draft plain-language explanations and summaries of your plan and progress. This feature is off until you turn it on, and we ask for your permission separately before any of your information is sent to an AI provider. If you leave it off, Ravo shows standard written explanations and your plan is exactly the same. AI can be wrong, can misunderstand context and can sound more confident than it should. AI drafting never overrides the training rules in section 6.1, never decides your training limits, and AI content is labelled in the app. Please check that any suggestion is suitable for you before acting on it.

6.5 You can always override. You can edit, move, swap, shorten or skip any workout, and correct how Ravo has classified a run. Ravo records your changes as your decisions and will not silently replace them.

6.6 No guaranteed outcomes. We cannot promise that you will reach a goal time, finish a race, lose weight or avoid injury by following Ravo. Results depend on many things outside our control.

7. Location, routes and staying safe outdoors

7.1 Ravo uses your device's location to record runs, measure distance and pace, and show your route. Location access is optional for planning features and required only for GPS recording. You can turn it off in your device settings at any time.

7.2 Ravo does not check whether a route, path, trail, track or area is safe, open, lit, legal to access or free from traffic or hazards. A route suggestion or map is not a safety assessment. Always obey road rules and local laws, watch your surroundings, and adjust or stop for weather, traffic, terrain and light conditions.

7.3 Be careful when using your phone, watch or headphones while moving. Do not interact with the app in a way that distracts you from traffic or other hazards.

7.4 Sharing your location is a safety decision. If you choose to share routes or activities, other people may be able to work out where you live, work or regularly train. Ravo keeps everything private by default and offers privacy zones that hide the start and end of your activities near places you choose. Think carefully before sharing, especially if your safety depends on people not knowing your routine.

8. Devices, sensors and connected services

8.1 Connections are optional. You can connect services such as Apple Health, Health Connect, Samsung Health, Strava, and Bluetooth sensors such as heart rate chest straps (for example Polar H10). Each connection is optional, can be limited to specific data types where the platform allows it, and can be disconnected at any time.

8.2 Their terms apply too. Connected services are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy or practices. A third party may change or withdraw access, which may limit or end a Ravo feature that depends on it.

8.3 Accuracy of devices. Sensors and GPS can drop out, drift or record incorrect values. Ravo tries to detect unreliable data, but may not always succeed. Do not rely on any device reading for medical or safety purposes.

8.4 Strava data. If you connect Strava, Ravo shows you your own Strava activities inside the app, and nothing more. Strava data is kept only in a temporary cache for no more than 7 days. It is not combined with your other Ravo data, not used to build or change your plan or learn your paces, not used for analytics or product improvement, and never used in or with any AI system, including anything derived from it. Activities you delete on Strava disappear from Ravo within 48 hours. If you disconnect Strava or ask us to delete your Strava data, we delete it, and anything derived from it, within 30 days and confirm this to you in writing. Your Ravo plan is built only from runs you record with Ravo and other sources you allow.

8.5 Supported devices. Ravo is designed for supported versions of iOS and Android listed in the app store. We cannot guarantee that Ravo will work on every device, operating system version or sensor.

9. Races, events and other third-party listings

9.1 Ravo may show races and events (for example parkrun, half marathons and marathons) to help you set a goal. Event information comes from organisers' public sources and is checked on the date shown in the app. Ravo is not the organiser of any listed event and, unless we say otherwise, has no partnership with any organiser.

9.2 Always confirm dates, distances, course details, entry availability, rules and cancellation policies with the organiser. If an event changes, Ravo will flag it for your review rather than silently moving your goal or plan.

9.3 Entering an event is between you and the organiser. Ravo does not register you for events or process event entries unless a feature clearly says so.

10. Community and clubs

10.1 Community features, such as clubs, club events, discussions, training buddies and sharing, will be introduced in a later release. When they are available, the Ravo Community Code applies, together with this section.

10.2 Respect people. You must not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, discriminate against, impersonate or sexually exploit anyone; share someone else's personal information or location without permission; or post content that is unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, deceptive or infringes someone's rights.

10.3 Clubs and organisers. Clubs and club events are run by their organisers, not by Ravo. Ravo does not verify organisers, instructors, venues or meeting points, and a club listing or badge does not mean that a club, person or activity is qualified or safe. Joining a club or accepting an event invitation does not mean you are fit or cleared to take part.

10.4 Reporting and blocking. You can report content, clubs, events and people, and block unwanted contact. We review reports, and may remove content or restrict accounts under section 18. Where we take action against your content or account, we will tell you why and how to ask for a review, unless doing so would put someone at risk or break the law.

10.5 Moderation. We may use automated tools and human reviewers to detect spam, abuse and content that breaks these Terms. Automated tools can make mistakes, so you can always ask a person to review a decision.

11. Your content

11.1 You own it. "Your Content" means everything you create, record, upload or submit to Ravo, including workouts, routes, notes, feedback, photos and posts. You keep all ownership rights in Your Content.

11.2 The permission we need, and nothing more. You grant Ravo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example by resizing images or converting file formats), and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Services for you, and to show it to the people you choose to share it with. This licence lets our service providers do the same on our behalf.

11.3 What we will not do. Unlike some fitness services, we will not:

11.4 When the licence ends. The licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except that:

11.5 Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not break these Terms or anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.

12. Feedback

12.1 We love ideas. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve Ravo without paying you or crediting you. We will not publish your name or identity with your feedback without your permission.

13. Fair use of Ravo

13.1 You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:

13.2 Responsible disclosure. If you find a security issue, please tell us privately at support@asarelabs.com.au and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it. We will not take legal action against good faith researchers who follow this process and avoid harming users or their data.

14. Ravo's intellectual property

14.1 Ravo, including the app, software, training rules, plan templates, written and audio coaching content, designs, the Ravo name and the A/V lightning logo, is owned by Asare Labs Pty Ltd or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

14.2 Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Ravo apps on devices you own or control, and to use the Services, for your own non-commercial training.

14.3 Some parts of Ravo use open source software, maps, elevation data, exercise content or licensed audio. Their licences and required attributions are listed in the app, and their terms apply to those components.

15. Free features, paid features and subscriptions

15.1 Free at launch. Ravo is currently free to use. We plan to keep a meaningful set of core features free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, show you clearly which features are paid, and never move you onto a paid plan without your active choice to buy.

15.2 Subscriptions. Paid subscriptions (for example "Ravo Pro") may be offered monthly or annually. The price, billing period, features and any trial terms will be shown to you before you buy, including any taxes.

15.3 Where you buy. If you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase is processed by that store under its terms. We never receive your full card details. Payment methods, receipts and most refunds for store purchases are managed through your store account.

15.4 Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then current price unless you cancel. With Apple and Google, you generally need to cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next one. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.

15.5 Free trials. Free trials are available once per person unless we say otherwise. We will tell you before you start the trial when it ends and what you will be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins. Where we can, we will remind you before a trial converts.

15.6 Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price increase. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it applies. App stores may also ask you to approve a price increase.

15.7 Promotions and codes. Promotional codes, discounts and event partner offers are subject to the terms shown with them.

15.8 Refunds. Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund. Refund requests for purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by the store under its own policies. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 19).

16. Preview, beta and experimental features

16.1 We may offer early or experimental features, labelled for example "Preview", "Beta" or "Ravo Lab". These may be less reliable, may change or be removed without the usual notice, and may not be supported long term. Taking part is optional.

16.2 Experimental features never bypass the training rules in section 6.1 or the privacy promises in our Privacy Policy.

17. Availability and changes to the Services

17.1 We work hard to keep Ravo available and reliable, including recording workouts offline. However, we cannot promise that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted or error free. Maintenance, network problems, device limitations and third-party outages can affect Ravo.

17.2 Ravo improves constantly. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a significant feature, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and, where possible, a way to export the related data.

17.3 If we decide to shut down Ravo entirely, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and provide a way to export your data.

18. Suspension, termination and deleting your account

18.1 You can leave any time. You can stop using Ravo and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through an app store; please cancel it in your store account as well. The app will remind you.

18.2 When we may act. We may suspend or limit your access, remove content, or close your account if:

18.3 A fair process. Unless the situation is urgent, unlawful, or a warning would put someone at risk, we will tell you before we act, explain why, and give you a chance to respond or fix the problem. You can ask for any decision to be reviewed by a person by contacting support@asarelabs.com.au.

18.4 What happens on closure. When an account is closed, we delete or de-identify personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Before you delete your account, you can export your data from Privacy & data in the app. If we close your account for a reason other than serious misconduct, we will give you an opportunity to export your data first.

18.5 Clubs you own. If you own a club, you will need to transfer ownership to another member or close the club before your account can be deleted, so that other members are not left in an ownerless club.

18.6 Sections 5, 11.4, 12, 14.1, 19 to 24 continue to apply after your account is closed.

19. Australian Consumer Law

19.1 Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

19.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition implied or imposed by the ACL or any other law, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited ("Non-excludable Rights").

19.3 If you live outside Australia, you may also have mandatory rights under the consumer laws of your country. These Terms do not affect those rights.

20. Disclaimers

20.1 Subject to your Non-excludable Rights, we provide Ravo with due care and skill, but we cannot promise that training plans, estimates, AI drafted content, event information or device data will always be accurate or suit your individual circumstances, or that the Services will always be uninterrupted or error free.

21. Limitation of liability

21.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: your Non-excludable Rights; death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud; or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

21.2 Subject to section 21.1, and to the extent permitted by law:

21.3 We are not liable for loss to the extent it is caused by your breach of these Terms, by a third-party service you choose to connect, or by events beyond our reasonable control (such as natural disasters, widespread network outages or actions of governments).

22. Your responsibility to us

22.1 You are responsible for loss we suffer as a direct result of your breach of section 13 (Fair use) or of Your Content infringing someone else's rights, to the extent the loss was reasonably foreseeable and not caused by us. This section does not apply to you to the extent that it would be unfair under the ACL.

23. Resolving problems and disputes

23.1 Talk to us first. If you have a problem with Ravo, please contact us at support@asarelabs.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Most issues can be fixed quickly.

23.2 Independent help. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you can contact your local consumer protection agency (in Queensland, the Office of Fair Trading) or apply to a tribunal such as the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), or the equivalent body where you live. For privacy complaints, see our Privacy Policy.

23.3 No forced arbitration. We will not require you to resolve disputes through private arbitration, and nothing in these Terms prevents you from joining a class or representative action.

23.4 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the federal courts of Australia. If you live in another Australian state or territory or another country, you may also bring proceedings where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that place.

24. App store terms

24.1 If you downloaded Ravo from the Apple App Store:

24.2 If you downloaded Ravo from Google Play, Google's terms for Google Play also apply to your download and any purchases, and Google is not responsible for the Ravo app.

25. General

25.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Community Code and any Feature Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.

25.2 If part is invalid. If any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down to the extent needed, and the rest of these Terms will continue to apply.

25.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

25.4 Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations to a related company or to a buyer of all or part of Ravo, provided your rights under these Terms and our Privacy Policy are not reduced. We will tell you before this happens.

25.5 Notices. We may send you notices in the app or to the email address on your account. You can send notices to us using the contact details below.

25.6 Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies to the extent of any inconsistency, unless local law requires otherwise.
